Pioli choses his faithful players against Slavia Prague

AC Milan will play the second league of Europa League against Slavia Prague. The Rossoneri aim to reach the quarter-finals.

Tomorrow, at 18:45 CET, AC Milan will play the second leg of Europa League against Slavia Prague. The Rossoneri travel to the Czech Republic having won the first match 4-2 although they played for most of the game against a squad of 10 players. Nevertheless, Milan a win to secure comfortable to the next stage of the quarter-finals.

Stefano Pioli plans to make 4 formation changes deploying his usual faithful players against Slavia Prague. The only change from the Empoli match will be the central position. Matteo Gabbia will take Thiaw’s spot alongside Fikayo Tomori. Captain Davide Calabria starts on the right with Theo Hernandez on the right.

The Italian coach will re-propose the experimental duo we have seen lately in midfield. Yacine Adli will partner with Tijjani Reijnders with Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a more advanced position. Rafael Leao and in-form Christian Pulisic will be in support of Olivier Giroud. The French striker was rested in Serie A so he can lead the attack against Slavia Prague.

While Luka Jovic has managed to score 8 goals so far this season, the Serbian striker has proved more effective when used as a substitute. It has been quite difficult for the 26-year-old to prove that he can lead AC Milan’s attack on his own. That’s the reason why the Rossoneri plan to make an important investments this summer to sign a new centre forward able to guarantee goals on a regular basis.

AC MILAN Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Calabria, Gabbia, Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Reijnders, Adli, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao, Giroud.
