AC Milan vs Sampdoria, probable lineups

AC Milan face Sampdoria tonight in a match that will be crucial for the Champions League hopes of the Rossoneri.

AC Milan host Sampdoria tonight at the San Siro, at 20:45 CET. Milan vs Sampdoria will be one of the last three remaining Serie A games and a must win at all cost for Stefano Pioli’s squad. The Red and Blacks are at high risk of staying out of the Champions League next season and a big part of their European hopes hang on Juventus’ fate.

Stefano Pioli will field his best possible eleven with many players out due to injuries. Divock Origi, Ante Rebic and Aster Vrankcx are the latest names to join the emergency room. Simon Kjaer is set to stay on the bench leaving room for Tomori and Thiaw at the center of defence. Theo Hernandez and captain Davide Calabria complete the back four with Mike Maignan between the posts.

The injury of Ismael Benncaer has forced Stefano Pioli to change the composition of his midfield for Milan vs Sampdoria. Rade Krunic will play in a more deeper role alongside Sandro Tonali with Junior Messias tasked to give a helping hand up front.

There will be no changes in attack. Despite the recent promising performances of Alexis Saelemaekers, the Belgian will have to wait for his chance in the second half. Rafael Leao is considered full fit and will start from the first minute in Milan vs Sampdoria. Brahim Diaz will be deployed on the right flank with Olivier Giroud once against set to lead the attack.

AC  MILAN Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Tonali, Krunic; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

SAMPDORIA Probable XI (3-5-2): Ravaglia, Gunte, Nuytinck, Amione, Zanoli, Winks, Rincon, Augello, Gabbiadini, Quagliarella.
