Pioli chooses starting XI for AC Milan vs Torino

AC Milan make their home debut tonight against Torino. Pioli will trust the same squad that defeated Bologna.

AC Milan make their Serie A home debut tonight. At 20:45 CET the Rossoneri will host Torino at the San Siro stadium. Stefano Pioli’s squad did really well securing a convincing win against Bologna in the Serie A opening. Now, the Red and Blacks plan to repeat themselves with Pioli trusting the same squad for Milan vs Torino.

At least for now, Davide Calabria seems the first choice for the right side of the defence. However, this season he will have the strong competition of Pierre Kalulu with Pioli hinting that we will see often the French defender return to his old right back position. Malick Thiaw and Fiakyo Tomori will play at the center with Theo Hernandez completing the back four. As always, Mike Maignan between the posts.

With Ismael Bennacer out for many months, coach Stefano Pioli is making Rade Krunic the starting defensive midfielder of the squad. Pioli is sending once again AC Milan a clear signal to the management that he considers Krunic a key player despite the strong interest of Fenerbahce. Reijnders and Loftus-Cheek will make their debut at San Siro before the home crowd.

No changes even in attack. Olivier Giroud demonstrated once more that he is an eternal player scoring AC Milan’s first seasonal goal. Christian Pulisic impressed against Bologna and will keep Samuel Chukwueze on the bench again. The undisputable Rafael Leao will start on the left wing. More than 72 thousand fans will attend tonight’s AC Milan vs Torino.

AC MILAN Probable XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Rafa Leao.

TORINO Probable XI (3-4-2-1): Milinkovic-Savic; Schuurs, Buongiorno, R. Rodriguez; Bellanova, Ricci, Ilic, Vojvoda; Radonijc, Vlasic; Sanabria.
