AC Milan technical director is now concentrated in signing a new central midfielder with Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko subject of negotiations.
A few days ago coach Gennaro Gattuso would declare that the squad is 90% complete. Two signing are needed to make that 100% and one of this signing must be in midfield. Sky Sport reports that AC Milan are in advanced contracts with Chlesea over Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The 23 year old defensive midfielder would be a big hit for AC Milan’s median line. Physical, speed and exaggerated power: he could be the ideal name to strengthen the department in an important way. The France international can also act as central midfielder in the 4-2-3-1 formation.
The young midfielder is linked to Chelsea by a contract signed last summer until 2022. His price tag, given the 40 million euros of a year ago, is very high. That’s the reason why Leonardo has requested a loan with the right to buy at the end of the season.
An operation in Higuain-style is not excluded with AC Milan paying the London side around 8 million euros for his loan. The second problem to be solved is that of Bakayoko’s salary, the midfielder receives 6.5 million euros per season: a very high figure, but not impossible for Milan.
