AC Milan agree terms with French midfielder

AC Milan have agreed terms with Marseille star Boubacar Kamara. The French midfielder is rated around 20 million.

Boubacar Kamara is a player that has been on AC Milan’s radar for quite a long time. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder is one of the best performers in Ligue 1 and, with his contract set to expire in one year, Kamara looks destined to change club this summer.

Despite his young age Kamara has been a regular starter for Marseille for the last three years making more than 120 appearances with the French club. A complete midfielder, who knows how to combine physicality and technique.

Journalist Alessandro Jacobone reports that Kamara has rejected the latest renewal offer of Marseille. The 21-year-old French midfielder wants to leave and agreed personal terms with AC Milan over a 5-year contract.

Agreeing a transfer fee with Kamara has been difficult for the Rossoneri. AC Milan had offered 12 million euros for Kamara but the French club rejected their bid. Marseille want 20 million for their star midfielder.

With just one month until the end of the mercato, and Kamara determined to leave, AC Milan hope that Marseille will lower their asking price. The Rossoneri are currently in negotiations to sell Jens Peter Hauge to Eintracht Frankfurt for around 12-15 million. That figure will be used to finance the purchase of the talented French defensive midfielder.
