AC Milan about to close Robinson signing

AC Milan are about to close the singing of Antonee Robinson from Wigan Athletic to replace Ricardo Rodriguez who should join Fenerbahce.

In the next few hours AC Milan are expected to conclude the sale of Ricardo Rodriguez to Fenerbahce. Both clubs have reached an agreement a few days ago and the Swiss full-back should travel to Turkey to sign a contract. As soon as the transfer of Rodriguez is materialized, Milan will be able to close the signing of Antonee Robinson.

According to The Sun, AC Milan are about to purchase the Wigan Athletic left back to replace Rodriguez. Robinson should join the Rossoneri for a fee of €12 million with a slice of that figure going to his former club Everton. Antonee Robinson moved to Wigan Athletic in the summer and so far has made 28 appearances in Championship.

The 22-year-old United States international will take the role of Theo Hernandez’s back up. The Rossoneri scouts seem confident in the qualities of Robinson despite the fact that he has always played in the second tier of the English football and Wigan sit 23rd in the table after winning just five of their 28 league games.

Milan spotted Robinson in a sweep of emerging talent and think he has the talent to play for their side in the Italian elite reports The Sun.

AC Milan purchased Ricardo Rodriguez in 2017 from Wolfsburg for a fee of €15 million. The Rossoneri will recoup only 5 million from his transfer to Fenerbahce.
