AC Milan star offered to Inter

AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has yet to agree a new deal with the Rossoneri and his agent has offered his services to Inter.

Yesterday AC Milan announced that Hakan Calhanoglu had suffered a distortion of the ankle. The Turkish playmaker is expected to stay out for around two weeks certainly missing the next two games against Celtic Glasgow and Roma.

A bad news for Stefano Pioli but Brahim Diaz and the rest of the players are ready to replace him. In the meantime AC Milan continue to negotiate his renewal.

The current deal of the Turkey international expires at the end of the season and the Rossoneri risk losing him for free. Tuttosport reports that Milan don’t want to go beyond 4 million while Hakan’s agent, Gordon Stipic, has asked 6.5 million euros per season. That’s the same salary of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and more than what Gigio Donnarumma currently earns. Other clubs are carefully monitoring his situation, ready to profit if things go wrong.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), Stipic has offered Calhanoglu to Inter. A shocking gesture considering that AC Milan don’t want to lose their star player after waiting him patently to finally start showing his skills at regular basis.

The Italian newspaper reports that this may be a move to put pressure on Milan management and get better economic terms for the player. The €24 million signing from Bayer Leverkusen has been in scintillating form this year while in the new season he has scored 4 goals and assisted 3 in 7 appearances so far.
