AC Milan impressed by Italy U-21 duo

AC Milan are monitoring the progress of the Italian duo. Both players are impressing in their first season in Serie A.

In recent seasons AC Milan have paid special attention to the French market. Numerous players have arrived from Ligue 1 but the Rossoneri have never lost sight of the Italian league.

Calciomercato reports that Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are following with great interest two emerging talents of Italian football. Davide Frattesi and Andrea Cambiaso have attracted the attention of the Rossoneri club this season.

Davide Frattesi has scored 3 goals in 16 appearances with Sassuolo. Impressive numbers for the 22-year-old central midfielder that is playing his first season in Serie A. The former Roma talent has grown a lot and has played a key role also for Italy U-21. Besides AC Milan, Inter are also very interested in Frattesi. His contract with Sassuolo expires in 2025.

Andrea Cambiaso is another player that is doing very well in his first experience in Serie A. The 21-year-old left back has recently become part of Italy U-21. The Rossoneri consider him as a possible back-up for Theo Hernandez. Fode Ballo-Toure has disappointed so far and could leave in January.

Cambiaso has made 16 appearances with Genoa so far scoring one goal and providing two assists. His contract wit the Rossoblu expires in 2023. The market value of both players is around 10 million euros.
