AC Milan to face Liverpool without 3 strikers

AC Milan will face Liverpool tomorrow but coach Stefano Pioli is forced to prepare the match without several important players.

The injury curse does not have an end at AC Milan. During the last Serie A match against Salernitana, the Rossoneri lost two players because of physical problems. Both Pietro Pellegri and Rafael Leao had to leave the match in advance.

The initial medical examinations for Pietro Pellegri confirmed that the 20-year-old centre forward has suffered a serious injury on his right adductor muscle. New check will be carried out in ten days but the year is over for Pellegri.

Another bad news is the injury of Rafael Leao on his right rear thigh. The trauma has caused a small muscle injury to the hamstring and the Portuguese striker will not be available for the upcoming Champions League match against Liverpool.

Besides Pellegri and Rafael Leao, coach Stefano Pioli will not have at his disposal even Olivier Giorud. The French striker has not yet recovered leaving coach Pioli with Zlatan Ibrahimovic his only available centre forward.

Tomorrow AC Milan will host Liverpool at the San Siro. The last Champions League group match will be one of the most important games of the season for the Rossoneri who aim qualification for the knock-out stage. Pioli is forced to prepare the match without a couple of important players.
