AC Milan eye Genoa full back

AC Milan have entered the race for the services of Diego Laxalt. The Rossoneri consider Genoa’s full back as an alternative to Ricardo Rodriguez.

AC Milan are the latest team to show interest in Genoa’s talented full back Diego Laxalt. The Uruguayan has offered some good performances this season and impressed even in the direct encounters with the Rossoneri.

On Laxalt there is concrete interests from a couple of Premier League and from rival Serie A teams, such as Fiorentina and Torino. However the Red and Blacks can count on their excellent relationship with Genoa’s president Enrico Preziosi. Il Secolo XIX reports that Milan are considering Laxalt as an alternative to Ricardo Rodriguez. There is a certain risk that the Swiss defender may leave after the World Cup as he has received some tempting proposals, like from Borussia Dortmund for example. In any case Milan don’t want to be caught off guard.

The 25 year old is a very versatile player that can cover the entire left flank of the field. He can easily transform in left midfielder or left winger and could be an added value for Gattuso even if Rodriguez remains. Reaching a deal with Genoa won’t be difficult because they have already secured his successor, Oliver Kragl of Frosinone. The player is believed to have a price tag of around 10-15 million euros.
