AC Milan in direct talks to sell Kessie

AC Milan are in direct talks with Paris Saint-Germain to sell Kessie. The midfielder will not renew his contract.

One month ago Franck Kessie was expressing all is love for AC Milan while now he’s in negotiations to join a new club. The Ivorian midfielder has apparently decided to leave and earn more elsewhere but AC Milan will try to avoid losing him for free just like Donnarumma and Calhanoglu.

The 24-year-old central midfielder has rejected AC Milan’s last offer of 6.5 million per season raising to 7 million. The management has no intention to present a new deal considering that Kessie and his agent keep raising the bar every time.

Meanwhile, Kessie has already agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain over a long-term contract at 10 million euros per season, bonuses included. Milan have no possibilities to match PSG’s offer and will not make a new proposal.

The Rossoneri have begun to accept the idea of losing Franck so they will try to earn something from his departure. Footmercato reports that AC Milan are now in direct talks with PSG discussing the transfer of Kessie when the winter mercato open.

The current market value of Kessie is around €60 million but Milan can only get a fraction of that fee. Kessie’s potential January transfer to PSG is similar to that of Eriksen from Tottenham to Inter so the Rossoneri hope to receive a similar fee of €60 million for their midfielder.
