AC Milan crazy after new Sadio Mane

AC Milan are enchanted by Anderlecht starlet Jeremy Doku, the new Sadio Mane according to Jurgen Klopp.

Clubs are using this period of pause due to the Coronavirus outbreak to advance their transfer business. In the summer, AC Milan will continue focusing on promising youngsters. The Rossoneri will try to add new talented players in their squad with Jeremy Doku the latest in their list of targets.

Jeremy Doku is target of club CEO Ivan Gazidis, who since the departure of Zvonimir Boban is also taking care of transfers with his staff, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. The 17-year-old right winger of Anderlecht is the new gem of Belgium football with the Rossoneri scouts reportedly enchanted by his performances.

Despite his young age Doku is already a protagonist both with his club and the national team. Doku has made 27 appearances this season with Anderlecht scoring 8 goals and assisting 3, and has four caps to his name with Belgium U-21.

In the summer, AC Milan will negotiate with Anderlecht not only the definitive purchase of Saelemaekers but also that of Jeremy Doku. The great performances of the Anderlecht starlet have not gone unnoticed and Doku nearly signed for Liverpool in 2018.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp wanted to sign Jeremy and told him he could be Sadio Mane’s successor at Liverpool. However, the player refused Liverpool opting to stay at Anderlecht. The current contract of Jeremy Doku with Anderlecht expires in two years offering AC Milan a very good opportunity to sign one of Europe’s best talents for a fraction of his real value.

Possible new AC Milan coach Ralf Rangnick also wanted to buy the he 17-year-old for RB Leipzig. The signing of Doku is in line with the philosophy of the German coach and also the transfer policy of Milan owners Elliot Management. A purchase that’s a win-win situation for both.
