AC Milan make first offer for Higuain

Gonzalo Higuain is the big dream of the Rossoneri club to reinforce the attack. Leonardo, shortly to be announced as technical director of AC Milan, is already negotiating.

The Brazilian has an high esteem for Il Pipita and through some intermediaries has already initiated contacts with Nicolas Higuain, brother and agent of the Argentine player. AC Milan has made an opening offer to the player: a four-year contract of 4.5 million euros per season. A proposal still far from what the 30 year old striker perceives today at Juventus, 7.5 million net per year. But the parties are willing to negotiate and reach an agreement soon.

Higuain approves Milan as his next destination and, therefore, his will is an important element for sure. But it will also be necessary to carefully evaluate the costs of the operation, trying to conclude a deal at the best possible conditions. It must be said that Juventus have already set the price of the South American bomber at € 60 million, barely negotiable. In addition, the strong interest of Chelsea should be recorded, which in the race for the player seems to have an advantage for two reasons: the presence of Maurizio Sarri and the greater economic availability of the London club.

For now, however, no offer from the Blues has arrived in Turin. This is because Chelsea first must solve the future of its current attackers and only then think of a new purchase. To date there are three strikers at Chelsea. That is Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi and Alvaro Morata, all the three could leave this summer. The last one is also a target of AC Milan as an alternative to Higuain. However the Spaniard receives a higher salary of 9 million net annually. He too gave his approval to a possible transfer at San Siro but even in this case the operation is not very easy. Leonardo needs to work very hard to give coach Gennaro Gattuso a new striker and at the same time try not to create too many problems for the budget.
