AC Milan and Monaco consider strikers swap deal

AC Milan have resumed talks with Monaco. The Rossoneri have proposed a swap deal between Andre Silva and Pietro Pellegri.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – AC Milan were very close to selling Andre Silva to Monaco for 30 million euros. The transfer of the Portuguese striker would allow the Rossoneri to complete the purchase of Atletico Madrid star Angel Correa.

However, negotiations fell through at the very last moment and Silva has returned to train with the rest of the squad. But that doesn’t mean Silva will not end up in France after all. The two clubs have resumed talks with the Rossoneri very interested in Monaco starlet Pietro Pellegri.

Pellegri’s agent Giuseppe Riso was at Casa Milan today to meet with the management of AC Milan. The meeting lasted one hour and AC Milan asked for information on the situation of Pellegri.

AC Milan have proposed Monaco a swap deal. The French club can sign Andre Silva in exchange for Pietro Pellegri. According to reports, Monaco are not in favor of this proposal. The Ligue 1 side are not fully convinced by the Portuguese striker and value the young Italian more.

Monaco signed the 18-year-old centre forward from Genoa for a reported fee of €25 million. Injuries have prevented the former Genoa to showcase his talent in France making only 3 appearances for a total of 79 minutes played and scoring one goal.

UPDATE: Monaco have rejected AC Milan’s proposal. Despite an underwhelming first season in France, the French Ligue 1 want to keep Pietro Pellegri. At this point it seems like Monaco have definitely abandoned the idea of signing Andre Silva.
