AC Milan new signing could make debut against Lazio

AC Milan new centre forward Marko Lazetic is set to make his debut in tomorrow’s Coppa Italian match against Lazio.

The January transfer window has been considered a very underwhelming campaign by the Rossoneri. AC Milan worked to offload a couple of unwanted players while two youngsters like Marko Lazetic and Cathal Heffernan joined the club.

The arrival of the 18-year-old Serbian striker caused a bit of noise. AC Milan decided to cut short Pietro Pellegri’s loan from Monaco with the player joining Torino for the remaining of the season.

AC Milan have paid a fee of €5 million to acquire Lazetic from Red Star Belgrade. The Rossoneri have a lot of faith in the potential of the 18-year-old striker. The management believes he can improve a lot by playing alongside two veteran strikers like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud.

In fact, Lazetic could make his debut tonight in the Coppa Italia quarter-final against Lazio. Tuttosport reports that the Serbian striker has settled in very quickly in the Rossoneri schemes and could find space in the the second half. The Cup games are usually great opportunities for young player to earn playing minutes.

If the Rossoneri win against Lazio and progress in the next stage of Coppa Italian they will face one between Inter and Roma in the semi-final. Olivier Giroud will lead the attack of AC Milan will Zlatan Ibrahimovic still out injured.
