AC Milan’s negative record with Andre Silva starter

Andre Silva joined AC Milan for a figure of 38 million euros becoming the second most expensive purchase in club history. A top scorer in Europe but a flop in Serie A.

Andre Silva, starter in the last Serie A match against Udinese, had not played from the first minute since the beginning of the league, since November to be more precise, when he was deployed by Vincenzo Montella in his last match as coach of the Rossoneri in Milan-Torino ended 0-0.

To date, with the Portuguese on the pitch, since the beginning of the season, the Devils have won only one occasion, against SPAL 2-0 at San Siro. Since then, two defeats followed against Roma and Inter and two draws against Torino and Udinese.

The former Porto striker has made 14 appearances in Serie A this season, playing for a total of 628 minutes but never finding the back of the net. Things have gone rather different for Silva in Europa League where he has score 8 goals and is the competition’s top scorer. While time is on his side, some are starting to lose patience and demand he improves quickly to help the team secure Champions League qualification for next season.
