AC Milan scout River Plate starlet

AC Milan scouts have followed River Plate defender Lucas Martinez in a Copa Libertadores match against Cruzeiro.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – AC Milan continue to work hard with their scouts, led by Geoffrey Moncada, always on the hunt for top level talents, perhaps little known in Italy.

Argentine defender Lucas Martinez Quarta is the new name that has attracted the attention of AC Milan reports Victoria Najda, a source very close to the Millonarios. The 23-year-old centre back plays with River Plate. Lucas Martinez has made 65 appearances with River Plate since his debut in 2016.

AC Milan scouts followed Lucas Martinez in the Copa Libertadores match on July 31st at the Mineirao stadium against Cruzeiro. Martinez started from the first minute in defence and transformed in goal of the the penalties that allowed River Plate to win the match.

Lucas was born and raised in the youth ranks of River Plate and, according to the Argentine media, he is ready for a quality leap forwards towards Europe. The Argentine club are famous for their talents exported in Europe. The player has a 22 million euros release clause.

However, in theory, the AC Milan defensive department seems to be completed. The Rossoneri recently signed Brazilian defender Leo Duarte for 11 million euros and can count on Mattia Caladra who should be available around October.
