AC Milan sent availability request to Italian defender

AC Milan have asked Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi if he’s available for a January transfer claims a report.

Maldini and Massara continue their search for a new defender. Netherlands star Sven Botman is at the top of AC Milan’s wish list but Lille’s asking price of 30 million euros could be a big obstacle forcing the Rossoneri to look at other targets.

In addition to Botman, Milan are also looking at Bremer, Milenkovic and Chelsea duo Christensen and Sarr. However, according to Calcioomercato.it, Simon Kjaer’s replacement could come from Serie A directly from Lazio.

Francesco Acerbi could leave the capital very soon. The Biancocelesti defender is in collision with the club and the Lazio supporters. The reason? After Genoa’s goal in last Friday’s match, Acerbi turned towards Curva Nord to silence the many Lazio supporters. There were also disagreements following the defeat against Sassuolo.

A gesture that did not go down well with the Lazio ultras who published a harsh public statement asking for the immediate sale of Francesco Acerbi. Calcioomercato.it reports that AC Milan have already sent the defender a request for his availability to transfer right away.

That would be a sensational return for Francesco Acerbi at AC Milan. The 33-year-old played with the Rossoneri for one season in 2012 making 10 appearances in total. He found better luck at Sassuolo and Lazio becoming also a player of the Italian national team along the way.
