AC Milan to make 5 transfers this summer

AC Milan will be very active on the transfer market this summer with at least five new signings to take place.

With the recent 10 points of Juventus, AC Milan are back on the top 4 in Serie A and set to play Champions League football next season. Regardless of the final placing, the Rossoneri are set to make at least five signings this summer and Paolo Maldini is already at work to anticipate the arrival of several targets.

There will be only one new signing in defence. Fode Ballo-Toure will leave the club on a permanent deal this summer. The Senegalese international has not lived up to expectations and a new left-back will arrive soon to serve as a back-up to Theo Hernandez. The new left-back will almost surely be an Italian player with Emanuele Valeri being the preferred name.

With Bennacer out for the entire 2023, AC Milan will make two important signings in midfield. The Rossoneri are already in advanced talks with Daichi Kamada and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Both players have already reached verbal agreements with the club. Kamada is the guaranteed goal scorer that Milan’s midfield is currently lacking while Loftus-Cheek is considered the perfect substitute for Franck Kessie.

Next in line is a new right winger. While Rafael Leao shines on the left, the situation is quite underwhelming on the opposite flank. Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias have scored a combined 10 goals in over 70 appearances this season. A top level right winger is needed that can score goals, provide assists and create numerical superiority.

The top summer priority of AC Milan will be the purchase of a new centre forward. The Rossoneri are looking on the market for a player that can score 20 goals per season. A player that can take over from Olivier Giroud the role of the regular starting striker. Such a name will require a big investment but, thanks to their Champions League success this season, Mila can afford to spend more this time.
