Milan-Rijeka, probable lineups

On Thursday night the rossoneri return to play Europa League. In San Siro arrives the Croatian team of Rijeka and AC Milan have the chance to consolidate the first place.

It is not the best time for AC Milan to face such a commitment. The result is (almost) obvious but at the door there is a match that might prove decisive like the one against Roma and the team risks losing valuable energies. However, excessive turnover could expose Montella’s team to make a poor figure that would be deadly for the rossoneri and especially for under-fire Vincenzo Montella.

Musacchio returns from the first minute while Gabriel Paletta may replace Romagnoli (even though the Italian is favorite) alongside captain Leo Bonucci. Lucas Biglia will be preserved for the important game against Roma and his place will be taken by Manuel Locatelli since Riccardo Montolivo is not yet recovered. A bit cloudy the situation regarding Kessie, he may be rested but Montella may be tempted or be used him as vice Bonucci in defense but the recent training session suggest he will start from the first minute. Otherwise possible chance even Jose Mauri. In attack Suso and Nikola Kalininc will be left to rest and instead the manager will deploy the pair Andre Silva – Cutrone supported by Calhanoglu.

AC MILAN (3-5-2): G.Donnarumma; Musacchio, Bonucci, Romagnoli; Abate, Kessie, Locatelli, Calhanoglu, Borini; Cutrone, Andre Silva.

RIJEKA (4-2-3-1): Prskalo; Vesovic, Elez, Zuparic, Zuta; Misic, Bradaric; Gorgon, Gavranovic, Kvrzic; Heber.
