AC Milan close winger purchase from Villarreal

AC Milan have closed the signing of the much needed left winger. Technical director Leonardo has agreed a transfer for Villarreal’s talent Samu Castillejo.

On the day when Tiemoué Bakayoko was undergoing medical visits with Milan, the Rossoneri practically closed another signing. Leonardo and Paolo Maldini are in fact one step away from Samu Castillejo, the talented winger of Villarreal who will arrive at Milanello as an alternative to both Suso and Calhanoglu in the attacking trio of AC Milan. Today the parties will close the last details of the agreement before announcing a deal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Carlos Bacca was also included in this operation. During the summer he has repeatedly said he wants to return to Villarreal, the team he played in last season on loan. The operation between AC Milan and the Spaniards is a loan deal with the obligation to buy for a total figure of 18 million plus the services of Colombian striker in exchange. With the sale of the former Sevilla, the Rossoneri get rid of a player who no longer wanted to stay in Milanello and above was earning 4 million euros net per season.

Last season, Rino Gattuso has often highlighted the lack of a quality alternative to Suso and Calhanoglu and the purchase of Castillejo goes in this direction. Nicknamed El Fideo for the slim body, the young Spaniard has speed and dribbling and is able to play both on the right and left. A big investment for the Red and Black club (the total value of this operation is 30 million) who are now looking to close another signing before the end of the summer transfer window.
