Allegri wants AC Milan player at Juventus

Juventus remain interested in AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli. Massimiliano Allegri has asked the signing of the Italian defender.

Juventus have carefully watched the evolution of the Donnarumma and Calhanoglu cases reports MilanNews24. For about a year the Bianconeri have been following Alessio Romagnoli to rejuvenate their defense with an Italian centre back. Demiral’s negative performance have convinced coach Massimiliano Allegri to ask the purchase of the AC Milan captain.

AC Milan will have to make a difficult decision regarding the future of the 26-year-old. The contract of Alessio Romagnoli expires in one year and the Rossoneri will avoid repeating the same mistake like in Donnarumma and Calhanoglu cases.

Either the AC Milan captain renews his contract or he will be sold this summer. Mino Raiola’s demands of over 5 million per season make the agreement quite unlikely. Fikayo Tomori’s permanent signing from Chelsea reinforces the sale hypothesis.

According to reports, Juventus are considering two options. An offer of around 10-15 million to close the deal quickly or an agreement directly with the player in January. At that moment, Romagnoli will be able to sign as a free agent with any interested club but join them only at the end of the season.

The Italian defender has been a key figure for AC Milan since his arrival from Roma in 2015 for €25 million. He has made over 220 appearances with the Red and Blacks but lost his starting spot after Tomori’s arrival.
