Andrea Bertolacci reveals his future

When Adriano Galliani announced the signing of Andrea Bertolacci he pompously declared Milan had purchased one of the best midfielders in Italy. Two years later, that statement could not have been further away from the truth.

In a long interview for Premium Sport, Andrea Bertolacci spoke about the Italian national team and his future return to Milan: “My goal is to get back to the national team, in Conte’s era when I played with Genoa I was often on the list of players, then during my AC Milan experience I lost my position. The Future? My loan will expire in a few months and at the end of the championship I will return at AC Milan. Then we’ll have to see… I’m curious to see what will happen”.

Despite Bertolacci desire to return at Milan, the club will put him immediately on the market but finding a proper suitors is not going to be easy. The Rossoneri paid 20 million euros to purchase Bertolacci in 2017 but he failed to justify his hefty price tag. Considering his performances in the last two years Milan would be lucky to recoup half of the investment made.
