Arnault accelerates for Milan with Maldini, Braida and Shevchenko to lead the club

French billionaire Bernard Arnault remains interested in acquiring AC Milan from Elliot and talks have resumed.

According to a report from 7 Gold, French billionaire Bernard Arnault is carrying out the due diligence process aimed to purchase AC Milan club from Elliott Management.

Negotiations have resumed and now, with the Coronavirus emergency about to end, the parties are expected to accelerate talks and complete a deal in the summer.

A part of the agreement between Arnault and Elliot broke down because AC Milan failed to get the new stadium approval in March. However, the negotiations are still alive and Bernard Arnault remains interested in buying Milan.

Journalist Louis Girardi reveals more details from Arnault’s project on AC Milan. If the French billionaire acquires Milan from Elliot, Paolo Maldini will stay at the club. In addition to Maldini, Ariedo Braida will return as CEO of the club while Andriy Shevchenko is the favorite for the coaching job.

However, Arnault is not the only one interested in buying the Rossoneri. A group from Qatar have contacted Elliot. The group from Qatar will negotiate the purchase of Milan if talks between the owner of LVMH and Elliott break down.
