Chelsea make big offer for Pepe Reina

Pepe Reina’s adventure at AC Milan could end very soon. In fact, The Sun reports that his move to Chelsea is just a matter of days.

The determinant factor in the Spanish goalkeeper’s decision to move to London is the presence of Maurizio Sarri on the bench of the Blues. The two worked together at Napoli and their relationship is excellent. Reina would become the new number one at Chelsea with Thibaut Courtois on his way to Real Madrid.

At AC Milan instead he was supposed to serve as Gianluigi Donnarumma’s substitute. The 19 year old Italian seems destined to remain at San Siro even this season. There are no offers for him and, anyway, his market value is now not so high as to convince Elliott to sacrifice him.

According to The Sun, the Spaniard would move to London for a transfer fee of 10 million euros. An excellent deal for Milan that would record a good capital gain for a 35 year old player (36 in August) just arrived as free agent.
