CorSera: Milan, a treasure available for the January market

Despite the club’s insistence not to make any purchases this January, 20 million euros were made available to Massimiliano Mirabelli to move on the market.

According to Il Corriere della Sera on the newsstands this morning, there was a treasure available for the January market, but the club of Via Aldo Rossi decided to keep it and make better use of it in the summer. “We talked about it, but changing for the sake of change did not make any sense“, explained coach Rino Gattuso in yesterday’s press conference.

Reportedly there were about 20 million euros available to Mirabelli to make an important signing but the club in harmony with the coach decided otherwise. Gattuso trusts on the current group and believes that players like Andre Silva, Lucas Biglia and Hakan Calhanoglu have much more to offer and with time they will reach their full potential.

Even though a new central midfielder or left winger would have been useful for AC Milan this is still a good because in the summer the club will have considerable budget to sign quality players. In addition to the 20 million, Milan are expected to create funds from the definitive sale of Carlos Bacca, M’baye Niang, Lapadula and Bertolacci.
