CorSport – Two possible partners for AC Milan: the details

There is only one way that president Yonghong Li can save AC Milan and keep Elliot away. A new partner is expected to join him in the management of the club soon.

There were rumors yesterday that Genoa’s president and owner had inquired and was considering a bid for the Rossoneri. However, Genoa owner Enrico Preziosi decided to clarify the situation and denied recent rumors that he was interested in acquiring a minority stake at AC Milan.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports today that Yonghong Li has received two official proposals from Italian businessman, details on the two individuals involved are still rather vague but that’s normal considering the hefty figures involved in this types of negotiations. One thing is sure, both are willing to join AC Milan and invest significant money to improve the squad.

One of the two possible partners has even proposed to acquire a stake of more than 50% from Yonghong Li, placing the Chinese manager at a disadvantage. While the second would be satisfied with 49%, a significant number but one that allows Mr. Li to retain control of the club. Now it’s up to the Chinese tycoon to decide which of these two proposals he’ll accept or whether to continue the research elsewhere.
