Daniel Maldini – The Maldini dynasty continues

Daniel Maldini, the youngest son of Paolo, who will turn 17 in October, has joined AC Milan’s first team and tomorrow may play against his brother Christian in the friendly match with Pro Piacenza.

There is another Maldini in AC Milan’s first team. It is Daniel, the 17 year old son of Paolo, who unlike his father and grandfather Cesare, plays up front. The Rossoneri’s Primavera player, the youngest son of the legendary number 3, was added to the group of Gattuso in these days to replace the eleven players temporarily out for their national commitments. The boy is adapting well, overcoming the emotions of playing alongside Higuain and the other greats, and showcasing his talent.

And so, 64 years after Cesare played his first games with AC Milan (it was 1954), the Maldini dynasty at Milan continues. Dad Paolo has returned to the club in a directors role and observes the steady progress of his son from close. Last season Daniel Maldini scored 13 goals in 28 games with Milan Under-17. In the summer the young forward joined the Primavera squad.

Daniel doesn’t want to rush things and above all he’s not thinking about comparisons with his father, who at his age debuted in Serie A. Tomorrow it could be a very special day for the whole Maldini family. AC Milan will play a friendly match against Pro Piacenza and Daniel could make his debut against his brother Christian, 22 year old, also with a past in the youth ranks of Milan.
