Di Marzio: AC Milan complete striker purchase

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign Pietro Pellegri permanently. The Italian will be loaned to another club.

Pietro Pellegri has had a difficult start to life at San Siro but AC Milan still have faith in the talent of the 20-year-old centre forward. The Rossoneri will not wait for the end of the season and have decided to make the signing of Pellegri permanent immediately.

Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that AC Milan and Monaco have reached an agreement for the Italian striker. Milan have received a discount and will pay a transfer fee of 4 million euros for Pellegri. Monaco will also have a percentage of profit from next sale.

Nevertheless, Pietro is expected to play the remaining of the season at another club. “There is a negotiation underway to anticipate the purchase of Pietro Pellegri. The striker will then be loaned to Torino, probably already this week“, said Di Marzio revealing that Torino will be his next club.

AC Milan are more than pleased with the progress Tommaso Pobega has made at Torino. Just like Pobega before, Pellegri is a player asked by Granata coach Ivan Juric. The two have already worked together during their time ay Genoa.

The 20-year-old striker has 6 appearances with the Red and Blacks so far for a total of 127 minutes. Injuries and the presence of established names like Ibrahimovic, Giroud and Rebic have drastically reduced Pellegri’s game opportunities. The Rossoneri want to give him a chance to play regular football elsewhere.
