AC Milan could have spend more money this summer had they not decided to reject 55 million euros from Wolverhampton Wanderers for Franck Kessie.
Besides Gianluigi Donnarumma, Franck Kessie was the played to had featured the most last years for AC Milan. The management has a high regard for the 21 year old central midfielder so much so that they rejected crazy money for Franck “the tank” this summer.
Newly promoted Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers were keen on signing the AC Milan youngster. Sky Sport reveals that the Wolves made a sensational offer of 55 million euros for Kessie confident that his tenacious and aggressive playing style would be very suited to Premier League football. However their bid was immediately rejected by technical director Leonardo.
The Brazilian, Paolo Maldini and coach Gennaro Gattuso value a lot the 21 year old midfielder. Very soon AC Milan will open extension talks with Franck Kessie. His current deal expires in 2021 and he currently earns 2,2 million net per season at San Siro.
Franck Kessie joined the Rossoneri last summer from Atalanta for a total fee of 28 million euros.
