Everton star offered to AC Milan

Everton star James Rodriguez is a new candidate to replace Calhanoglu. Jorge Mendes has offered the attacking midfielder to AC Milan.

AC Milan are on the market for a new attacking midfielder to replace Hakan Calhanoglu, who has just moved to Inter on a free transfer. The Rossoneri are in no rush to find his replacement and the management is considering a log list of names.

In particular, Maldini is inquiring about those who are considered redundancies by the big clubs in Europe, such as Hami Ziyech, Dani Ceballos or Donny Van de Beek. A new name on AC Milan’s orbit is that of Colombia star James Rodriguez.

The 29-year-old joined Everton last season from Real Madrid on a free transfer. His first year in the Premier League was a positive one but far from his best performances of the highest level. It was Carlo Ancelotti who convinced James to join Everton and now that Carlo has left, Rodriguez is thinking of doing the same.

According to reports from Colombia, Jorge Mendes, agent also of Rafael Leao, has offered James Rodriguez to AC Milan. Mendes was recently in Milano to discuss the future of Leao and at the same meeting the name of James popped up.

Journalist Pipe Sierra reports that Everton are open to selling the former Real Madrid star for a figure between 10 and 20 million euros. James Rodriguez has signed a two-year contract with Everton that expires in 2022. A rumored return to Real Madrid, despite Ancelotti being appointed as new coach, is very unlikely for the Colombia international.
