Gazzetta: Andre Silva, worst striker in Serie A

He was one of last summer’s big signings but the Portuguese striker has finished under criticism for his underwhelming performances in Serie A.

According to a special analysis by La Gazzetta dello Sport on newsstands this morning, Andre Silva, AC Milan’s centre forward, is the striker who has played more minutes in Serie A this season without scoring a single goal: 628 minutes in the league and no goals for the 22 year old striker.

The Portuguese ace joined AC Milan last summer from Porto for a reported fee of 38 million euros becoming one of the most expensive purchases in club history. He is the competition’s top scorer in Europa League but in Italy he has been out of luck failing to find the back of the net in 14 appearances.

With AC Milan still hoping for a Champions League place for next season Andre Silva’s goals would be much helpful. The 22 year old is working hard to improve in this aspect and in the coming games he will look to bounce back. The youngster is a player of undisputed talent and no matter what statistics might illustrate Silva has the potential to become a top level forward in the future.
