Gazzetta: The real goal of AC Milan’s summer mercato

Due to unexpected issues on the corporate front AC Milan’s transfer market activity is frozen at the moment. Despite the arrivals of Pepe Reina, Ivan Strinic and Alen Halilovic, Massimiliano Mirabelli can not make any other purchases before the ownership rebus is solved.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports today the latest on the transfer market strategy of the Rossoneri, who will meet tomorrow at Milanello to kick off the new season under the guidance of coach Gennaro Gattuso.

According to La Gazzetta, Mirabelli’s real goal, for now, is to retain the top players in the squad who could depart following the eventual negative sentence of the CAS Tribunal. A scenario that the sporting director is trying to avoid at all costs.
