Gazzetta: Ziyech to AC Milan possible on one condition

Chelsea’s attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech is one of the names AC Milan are considering to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.

Contacts between AC Milan and Chelsea are not concentrated only on Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud. In recent days, Hakim Ziyech, another Blues player has ended up on the Rossoneri’s orbit. The Morocco right winger is the classic forbidden summer dream of AC Milan and it is a transfer that could only take place under certain conditions.

The 28-year-old winger that has been deployed in the attacking midfielder position by Tuchel would be the ideal Champions League signing for next season. A player with great experience in Europe’s most prestigious competition, and its fresh winner, that could help Stefano Pioli’s side make a quality leaf forward.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Ziyech is one of the names that can replace Hakan Calhanoglu this summer. However, a deal is possible only on one condition. Chelsea are open to discuss the future of Ziyech but the 28-year-old must accept a much lower salary. Currently the former Ajax earns 7 million per year.

For years the Morocco international was one of the best players in Netherlands. His great performances earned him a move to Chelsea for a fee of 40 million euros last summer. In his first season in England Ziyech scored 6 goals and assisted 4 in 39 appearances but he’s not among Tuchel’s favorite players.

Ziyech’s agent had a meeting with Paolo Maldini to discuss a possible transfer. At the moment Milan must first decide what to do with Calhanoglu. The Rossoneri have offered him the renewal and have reportedly given him a deadline until 30 June to respond.
