Gds: AC Milan to close striker signing in 24h

AC Milan could very soon close the signing of Pietro Pellegri. The Monaco starlet will be the Rossoneri’s third striker.

After Florenzi and the new central midfielder (that could become two if the Rossoneri decide to focus both on Bakayoko and Adli), AC Milan would like to gift Pioli a young center forward. Someone that can support veterans like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud. The “new name” which emerged recently is that of Pietro Pellegri.

In reality Pellegri is an old transfer target because AC Milan tried to purchase him three years ago when he played for Genoa. At that time he joined the French club for a record figure of over €30 million. Now, the operation seems more feasible and at much lower figures.

Pietro Pellegri’s agent Giuseppe Riso was at Casa Milan today and had a very positive meeting with the Rossoneri management. The 20-year-old is not part of Monaco’s plans for this season and his transfer to AC Milan can be completed in the next 24 hours reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Relations between Milan and Monaco are excellent as evidenced by the deal for Ballo-Toure. The two clubs are in intensive contacts since the beginning of the week to try to find an agreement according to Tuttosport.

Pietro Pellegri will join AC Milan on loan for 1 million euros but first he will extend his contract with Monaco until 2023. The Rossoneri will have the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season for a fee of less then €10 million. The Red and Blacks need to evaluate carefully the physical conditions of Pellegri after his numerous injuries at Monaco.
