Gds: Juventus midfielder is a new target for AC Milan

Juventus star Aaron Ramsey has emerged as a transfer target for AC Milan reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

AC Milan are about to complete the transfer of Jens Petter Hauge to Eintracht Frankfurt for 12 million. With fresh funds available, the Rossoneri will turn their attention on the new attacking midfielder with a new candidate emerging from Serie A.

AC Milan are looking for a player with physical and technical characteristics different from Brahim Diaz. Someone who knows how to act between the lines, guaranteeing more solutions to Stefano Pioli. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Aaron Ramsey has joined the casting for the attacking midfielder role.

Juventus need to trim their squad and trying get rid of some high earners. The Bianconeri are open to letting Ramsey leave on loan and even pay half of his salary. The Welshman is 30-years-old and wants to redeem himself after two less than positive seasons in Torino.

AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis also knows Aaron Ramsey very well with the two working together at Arsenal for many years. His relationship with Gazidis could facilitate a possible transfer according to Gazzetta.

The former Arsenal star arrived in Italy in 2019 and is subject of the “Growth Decree” taking advantage of a 50% discount on taxes. In this way, his 8 million net salary has a gross weight of 12 million on Juve’s coffers. By taking Ramsey on loan, AC Milan would spend 6 million gross to pay half of the salary. It would therefore be an absolutely low cost deal.
