Valencia vs AC Milan, probable lineups

AC Milan will face Valencia in a friendly match tomorrow. Stefano Pioli will experiment in attack with Giroud making his first minute debut.

The Rossoneri have another international friendly match. Tomorrow evening, AC Milan will be on stage at the Mestalla stadium against Valencia. After the one against Nice, the level of friendlies is rising more and more, in order to prepare the team for the first official games at the end of the month.

It will be another opportunity for Stefano Pioli, who will experiment with new solutions and test the tactical and athletic level of his players after a few weeks of summer training. Several changes are expected in the starting eleven compared to the match with Nice.

In particular, AC Milan’s attack will change. Pioli could launch from the 1st minute two players who have had little space so far. Ante Rebic and Olivier Giroud should both have their first chance from the start, with the Frenchman in need of minutes to become familiar with his new team.

A player who certainly will not be part of the Spanish expedition is Ismael Bennacer, still in isolation after the Covid infection. Zlatan Ibrahimovic remains out and hopefully will recover from his knee injury in one month.

Regarding the rest of the team, Mike Maignan will protect the goal. The back line is with Calabria on the right, Tomori and Romagnoli at the center (Kjaer ready to take over in the second half) and Theo Hernandez on the left. In the middle, Tonali and Pobega are obligatory choices. Alexis Saelemaekers will play on the right, Rebic on the left with Brahim Diaz in support of Olivier Giroud.

AC Milan: (4-2-3-1) Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Pobega; Saelemaekers, B. Diaz, Rebic; Giroud.

Valencia: (3-4-3) Cillessen; Alderete, Diakhaby, Guillamon; Correia, Soler, Burlamanqui, Gayà; Musah, Maxi Gomez, Guedes.
