How AC Milan changes with the return of 3 key players

With the return of Rebic, Krunic, Hernandez and Leao coach Stefano Pioli will make some changes for AC Milan vs Atalanta.

Finally some good news for the Rossoneri. In recent times AC Milan had to deal with many injuries and if that wasn’t enough in the last match against Cagliari three Red and Black players resulted positive to Covid.

The Rossoneri announced that Ante Rebic, Rade Krunic and Theo Hernandez have tested negative and will be part of the squad for Milan vs Atalanta. The return of the three, plus that of Rafael Leao (was suspended for one match) is a great news since Pioli will be without two key players like Romagnoli and Saelamaekers who are suspended.

Theo Hernandez will return immediately to his position on the left with Davide Calabria on the right. In the absence of captain Romagnoli, it will be Pierre Kalulu to play again in the central defender position alongside. Gigio as always between the posts.

As in recent games, even for Milan vs Atalanta it will be Franck Kessie and Sandro Tonali to form the central duo. Ismael Bennacer has not recovered yet while Hakan Calhanoglu looks like he won’t start even in this match.

The return of Rafael Leao from suspension means he will play of the left because Rebic is not ready to start from the first minute. Samu Castillejo will be on the right while Brahim Diaz will replace Calhanoglu. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was in fine form against Cagliari, will lead the attack.

AC MILAN: (4-2-3-1) Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Kalulu, T. Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Castillejo, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
