Real Madrid propose swap deal

Spanish sources claim that Real Madrid would like to recall Brahim Diaz in January and have proposed AC Milan a swap deal.

AC Milan are the most active Italian club on the market. The Rossoneri announced the signing of Mario Mandzukic and Tikayo Tomori will join shortly. However, the Rossoneri still plan to make new signings. According to Spanish newspaper ABC (via MilanLive), Real Madrid have asked to cut short Brahim Diaz’s loan and have proposed a swap deal.

In exchange for Diaz, Los Blancos have offered Lucas Vazquez who becomes a free agent at the end of the season. The 29-year-old right winger has reportedly decided to not renew his contract with Real Madrid and the management is not at all pleased with this verdict. For this reasons Real Madrid are offering Vazquez as compensation for Brahim Diaz.

Lucas Vazquez is not a new name on AC Milan’s radar. In November, the Rossoneri inquired about his availability but the Serie A were interested in his services as an alternative to Davide Calabria. The Spanish player has often covered that role when Zidane has asked.

In recent months Real Madrid had proposed Lucas Vazquez a three-year deal at the same figure but the player refused. He wants a new contract with a 15% increase.

Despite Madrid’s proposal AC Milan have no intention of letting Brahim Diaz leave. The 21-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder has adapted quite well to Serie A and has contributed with 4 goals and 3 assists so far.
