Ibrahimovic accepts new AC Milan deal

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay at AC Milan for one more year. The Swedish star has never considered other offers.

The decision is made and shared. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will remain at AC Milan for another season. Negotiations for his contract renewal have been quite positive and it seems that the Swedish striker will end his career at the club he has always loved.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Ibra does not intend to consider other proposals. But it was Milan, in particular the CEO Ivan Gazidis, the last to be convinced to focus again on the class 38-year-old striker.

Ibrahimovic has given a big hand to the growth of the team. He stood alongside mister Pioli, helped in the performance improvement of many teammates and has already reached 10 seasonal goals. Without forgetting the Ibra effect on merchandising: 1700% more jerseys sold thanks to him.

Impossible to let him go, even at 38 years old. The new deal should start from a base close to 5 million plus different bonuses, which will bring the amount requested by Ibra of 6 million per season closer. There could even be an option for another year.

And what about Mino Raiola? It matters little when Ibrahimovic is in the middle. He is the absolute master of his own destiny. AC Milan is about to secure the services of its most prestigious and decisive player for one more year. The last details of the agreement will be completed at the end of the season.
