In-demand midfielder confirms AC Milan talks

AC Milan are in close contact with left midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai. The player himself confirms the Rossoneri’s interest.

Acmilaninfo.com first reported that news that AC Milan were interested in Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.  The 19-year-old Hungarian midfielder is Salzburg’s most prized asset since the departure of Erlig Haaland.

Szoboszlai joined Red Bull Salzburg in 2017 and despite his young age he has 100 official appearances to his name. With two years remaining in his contract with the Austrian club the price tag of Szoboszlai is at around 20 million euros. This season he has scored 4 goals and has provided 7 assists in 29 appearances in all competitions leading his club to a stunning adventure in Champions League.

Dominik is also a protege of Ralf Rangnick. The possible new coach of AC Milan is the one to have brought Szoboszlai to Red Bull Salzburg. His arrival on the Rossoneri’s bench would facilitate a lot that the arrival of the 19-year-old left midfielder who often is used as central or attacking midfielder.

Interviewed by the official channels of Salzburg, Dominik Szoboszlai confirms AC Milan’s interest in his services: “At this moment I can’t say anything on the rumors about Milan. If talks will be successful it would mean that it was destined to be so. But it will depend a lot on my decisions“.

AC Milan therefore are in first row in the race for the talented midfielder the player himself confirms. But the competition is strong and the Hungarian gem is one of the most in-demand players in Europe: “The Italian Serie A is an excellent championship. But so are the Bundesliga and the Premier League. I will make the choice that I think is best for myself
