Gazidis biggest achievement at Arsenal

Ivan Gazidis is the new CEO of AC Milan. The current Arsenal chief executive will try to succeed where his predecessor Marco Fassone failed.

On 1 December, Ivan Gazidis will begin his adventure as the new CEO of AC Milan. The South African chief executive held the same position at Arsenal for a long period of nearly 10 years with excellent results. During his decade in London, Gazidis completely transformed the English side into one of the most financially powerful clubs in the world.

Since his appointment in 2009 the revenue curve of Arsenal has increased progressively. The Gunners have benefited enormously from the exceptional work of Gazidis on sponsorship deals over the years. While Arsenal have failed to lift the Premier League trophy since 2004 they occupy sixth place in Deloitte Football Money League.

Gazidis’ biggest achievement at Arsenal concerns the shirt sponsor agreement with Fly Emirates. If in 2009-2010 season, the London club received 5.5 million pounds from Fly Emirates, from this year it collects as much as 40 million pounds from the United Arab Emirates of Dubai. Hopefully the 54 year old will be able to repeat the same feat even at San Siro.
