AC Milan have completed the purchase of Flamengo star Lucas Paqueta for 35 million euros. The player will soon sign a five-year contract.
When football pundits were expecting Flamengo to sell Lucas Paqueta to the oil-rich club of PSG, AC Milan sporting director Leonardo caught everyone by surprise and acquired the services of the 21 year old attacking midfielder last night.
The talented player underwent medical exams today at Barra de Tijuca in the presence of the AC Milan doctors before signing his new contract. Italian media has revealed the first details of Lucas Paqueta’s deal with the Rossoneri.
Confirmations have arrived on his purchase price of 35 million euros plus bonuses. It may seem a lot for a young player but Paqueta’s release clause was 50 million euros. However, only 70% of this figure will go to Flamengo, meaning 25 million euros. The remaining 30%, or 10 million euro, will be divided between the player and the agency that manages him and which is run by his agent, Eduardo Uram.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lucas Paqueta will sign a contract until 2023 of 1,7 million euros per season plus bonuses, with the possibility of earning more in the following years. Now all that remains is to wait for the official landing of Paqueta at San Siro.
