Flamengo confirm Lucas Paqueta transfer to AC Milan
AC Milan have booked in advance the services of Lucas Paqueta. Flamengo confirm that the Brazilian star will join Milan on January.
All the Rossoneri fans woke up with a fantastic news today. In fact, sporting director Leonardo closed the purchase of Lucas Paqueta last night and the Flamengo star will join AC Milan in January.
GloboEsporte first reported the news but now it has been confirmed by many other Brazilian and Italian newspapers. Hora 1 contacted the Brazilian club and they have acknowledged the transfer of the 21 year old attacking midfielder with San Siro as his next destination.
Lucas Paqueta had a release clause of 50 million euros but AC Milan have signed him for 35 million. The young star is considered as Kaka’s successor in his homeland and expectations for him are very high.
Many other top European clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Barcelona and especially PSG were interested in his services but the desire of the player was to join Milan. The rich French club went as far as to use Neymar as negotiator in order to convince Paqueta but had already decided to follow the same path of his idol Kaka.
