AC Milan considering swap deal for Calabria

AC Milan could sacrifice Davide Calabria in order to sign Serie A rising star Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna.

AC Milan will not stop at Pierre Kalulu to improve the right side of the defence. The Rossoneri want to strengthen the back four with another full back on the right and it could be Davide Calabria to make room for a new arrival.

The 23-year-old defender, former Primavera, hasn’t lived up to expectations with a somewhat negative season and will be put on the market. In recent weeks his name has been linked especially with Bologna.

Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic wants to revive Calabria’s career. AC Milan are asking for a figure between 15-20 million euros in order to sell Calabria. That’s a high figure for Bologna but the interest is real and for this reason a new path could open up to bring Calabria to Bologna.

One idea could be Takehiro Tomiyasu reports MilanLive.it. The Japanese defender has surprising everyone in his first season in Serie A ending up in the orbit of several clubs, including Roma. The 21-year-old is certainly a profile that would be convenient for Milan, being able to play in all the roles in defence.

Tomiyasu has a similar market value with Calabria. After spending €9 million to sign him from Sint-Truiden last summer, the talented right back has seen his value double and many already consider him one of the best right backs in Italy. If he joins Milan, Tomiyasu would become the second Japanese player in the history of the club after Keisuke Honda.
