Milan interested in Justin Kluivert but there is one big problem

The January transfer window officially opens in a week and AC Milan will search for a left winger to complete the team. Now the Rossoneri are considering the signing of Ajax wonderkid Justin Kluivert.

AC Milan needs urgent reinforcements in January, beyond what the management declares officially. The 250 million euros spent in the summer inevitably stop Massimiliano Mirabelli to make new purchases, but in this first part of the season the need to find a left winger that can combine good technique and speed has become clearly evident.

According to calciomercato.com one of the names on the list of the Rossoneri club is Justin Kluivert, son of the famous striker, and former Milan player, Patrick Kluivert. In this season at Ajax, between league and cup he has collected 20 appearances by scoring 6 goals and assisting 2. Not a goal scoring machine, as he nets a goal every 230 minutes or so, but he is still a 18 year old player with almost zero experience behind him and with huge margin of improvement.

For Gennaro Gattuso’s team, that has now returned to play with 4-3-3, a left winger would serve a lot. At the moment Fabio Borini has been tested, as well as Giacomo Bonaventura and – if he returns to play as in his first years at Bundesliga – also Hakan Calhanoglu. The main problem related to the young Kluivert, however, beyond the hefty price tag that the Dutch club will ask (around 30 million euros), is his agent: Mino Raiola. The relationship between the well-known agent and the most prestigious Italian club in the world, is negative to say the least. If after the Donnarumma case in the summer there had been a small truce, in the last days the war seems to have returned to its highest level ever since.

What is certain is that the Rossoneri need a talented left winger and, if Gattuso will continue to rely on the 4-3-3 formation, the club could make a small effort in the January transfer window to satisfy his request. Whether it is Kluivert or not the chosen one, this remains to be seen however the Rossoneri could count on his father’s wish who favors such a transfer.
