Two signings Milan urgently need in January

The January transfer session opens officially in a week and AC Milan are in urgent need to make a couple of improvements especially up front.

It will not be a big money transfer market in January, AC Milan have every intention of maintaining the current team backbone without entering the market to further strengthen Gennaro Gattuso’s group. But for a team that has only 24 points in the standings after 18 rounds of the championship, a couple of important improvements would be needed.

First of all an offensive winger able to make the difference, in particular a player who dribbles opponents and who targets the goal with frequency. If the coach continues to deploy Giacomo Bonaventura in midfield then buying a top left winger would be more than necessary. The second signing must definitely be a central midfielder (mezzala) that can help Franck Kessie catch a breath.

The Ivorian youngster is the most used midfielder of AC Milan so far and the lack of a substitute has affected his declining physical form. These two purchases are a must for the second part of the season but the Rossoneri will move only in case the club decides to sale a particular player or if the market presents big occasions that need to be seized. The January transfer session opens officially in a week.
