Milan star injured, out for at least two months

AC Milan’s Sunday encounter with Sampdoria was not all good news. The Rossoneri secured a precious 3-2 victory but the defense continues to concede at unbelievable pace and the situation gets worse.

In the last training session new arrival Mattia Caldara suffered what was considered to be a slight injury and he was forced to skip the match with Sampdoria. His conditions however are apparently worse than initially thought.

After pubalgia, Caldara is now battling with a gastrocnemius muscle injury (right leg) that will keep him out for at least two months. Coach Gennaro Gattuso confirmed Caldara’s injury and absence for a long period.

It has been a horror year for the former Juventus centre back. In fact, throughout 2018, Caldara has made 13 appearances with Atalanta and only for AC Milan. The 24 year old defender has featured for the Rossoneri only against Dudelange in Europa League.

As if that wasn’t enough right back Davide Calabria had to abandon the match against Sampdoria at the 78 minute. The young Italian will miss the upcoming matches against Genoa, Udinese and Real Betis. The Rossoneri medical staff expects him to recover just in time for Serie A’s game with Juventus
