Gazzetta: Milan 2-1 Parma, player ratings

AC Milan complete a great comeback against Parma thanks to Cutrone and Kessie’s goals. Now the Rossoneri are in Champions League area.

It’s hard to find a flop among the AC Milan players. Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, emphasized the good performance of all the Rossoneri  who earned three well-deserved points yesterday against Parma and now sit in 4th place in the standings.

Let’s start from the defence, 6 for Gianluigi Donnarumma not very busy and 6.5 for the unprecedented defensive duo Ignazio Abate and Cristian Zapata. The Italian is the protagonist of a precise and timely performance, using his speed to neutralize the insidious Gervinho. The South American, on the other hand, appears to be very secure and tries to become dangerous even in attack. 6 for Davide Calabria and Ricardo Rodriguez on the flanks. Same vote for Frank Kessie despite the winning penalty but Ivorian made so many errors in passing.

In fact, without that goal, Kessie would have been the biggest disappointment of yesterday’s match. It was his error that caused the equalizer goal of Roberto Inglese. 6 also for Joes Mauri, the surprise of the day, who rarely makes any mistake but does not affect the game enough. 7 instead for Tiemoue Bakayoko. According to La Gazzetta, the Chelsea loanee is the man of the match. Dominating in midfielder with 27 duels won, present everywhere.

In attack 6.5 for Suso, better in the first half and author of 4 unexploited assists. 7 instead for Patrick Cutrone: “In the first half he struggles but he explodes in the second half. One goal and one penalty, great job“. An encouraging 6 for Hakan Calanoglu, Milan expect and need much more from him. 6 also for the substitute Fabio Borini. Coach Gennaro Gattuso earns a 7, the comeback is also merit of his formation change.
