AC Milan make shocking decision on Giampaolo

The upcoming match of AC Milan against Genoa may not be as decisive for the future of Marco Giampaolo as everyone thinks.

The Rossoneri desperately need to turn the page after the recent negative results in the league. Despite the many problems AC Milan may have, this team has the necessary talent to aspire for much more than the current 16th spot in the standings.

Tomorrow’s match against Genoa reportedly is Marco Giampaolo’s last chance to save his job as AC Milan coach. The Italian coach needs a convincing win to fend off rumors on his sacking. However, that may not be the case according to Carlo Pellegatti.

The Italian journalists reports that no matter the result against Genoa, Marco Giampaolo will remain as AC Milan coach. The club will continue to back him even in case of another disappointing result.

It may be a move to take some tension off the team. But the most likely explanation is that AC Milan are trying to wait to better understand the eventual availability of some other coaches.

The names of Claudio Ranieri and Rudi Garcia are not convincing enough for Milan while Gennaro Gattuso would take into consideration only an offer coming directly from Elliot. A change in direction with the season ongoing requires an expert name to lead a difficult transition.
